Once created, KPIs appear throughout the WorkBoard platform — including the Objectives landing page, Team, and Biz Review pages — allowing you to view, update, and analyze performance without leaving your workflow.

Each surface offers a unique perspective: KPI owners can manage progress directly from the Objectives landing page, teams can collaborate and monitor results on their Team Page, and leaders can visualize performance trends in Biz Reviews.

KPIs on the Objectives Landing Page

The OLP helps KPI owners and co-owners stay focused on the metrics that matter most. You don’t need to own or co-own a KPI to keep an eye on it. Anyone with access can monitor a KPI, which adds it to a “KPIs I Monitor” section on their My Objectives page alongside the KPIs they own.

When you own or are assigned to one or more KPIs, a dedicated My KPIs section appears below your Key Results, giving you an at-a-glance summary of performance.

From the OLP, you can:

  • Update KPI values inline, adding optional narratives

  • Open the side panel for charts, details, and history

  • Sync integration data to fetch the latest connected values

  • Archive or unarchive KPIs from the kebab (⋮) menu

  • Copy a KPI link for sharing or referencing in reviews

Below the My KPIs section, a separate KPIs I Monitor section appears when you have chosen to monitor KPIs you don't own.
This lets you track metrics that are relevant to your work — across teams or functions — without needing to be assigned as an owner or co-owner.

To add a KPI to this section, click the eye icon on any KPI detail page or use the 3-dot menu on any KPI row and select Monitor. Click again to stop monitoring.

KPIs on the Team Page

The Team Page provides a consolidated view of all KPIs owned by or associated with a particular team, helping managers and members understand progress and identify trends across business functions.

KPI Tab Overview

Within the Team Page, a dedicated KPI tab lists every metric linked to that team. The table layout is optimized for visibility, supporting large volumes of KPIs with key data surfaced upfront.

Columns include:

  • KPI Name

  • Actual Value and Trend

  • Monitoring Type

  • Data Source (with integration icons)

  • Last Update Date

  • Owner

Available Actions

Team members with edit permissions — including Owners, Co-owners, Team Managers, and Admins — can:

  • Update values or narratives inline

  • Archive

  • Copy links for sharing or embedding

  • Open the KPI side panel to view historical updates and details

Note: Read-only users can view KPIs but cannot comment, update, or edit.
