What this analytic shows
The Meeting Template Usage analytic shows how the meeting templates your organization has created are actually being used across your meetings — team meetings, check-ins, and 1:1s. Rather than assuming your standard agendas are being followed, you can see which templates are applied, in which meeting types, by which organizer, and for which employees.
Use it to answer questions like:
Are the agenda templates we built for the org actually being used?
Which templates get used most and during which meetings?
Where to find it
Enable for organization/users/teams
An admin needs to enable the analytic for the organization or specific teams/users by navigating to Admin tools - Biz Review Analytics and search for Meetings template usage.
Once enabled users can start adding the analytic to Business Reviews.
To add to a Biz Review:
Open Biz Reviews module from Meetings & Reviews.
Open a review or create a new one.
Click on edit and then Add - Analytics.
Select the analytic for meeting template usage from the list.
Before you start
For the analytic to show meaningful data, three things need to be in place:
Templates exist. Your org has agenda templates set up for 1:1s, check-ins, and team meetings.
Templates are applied. People are actually selecting a template when they create or run a meeting.
Meetings are typed. Each meeting is set to the correct type — Team Meeting, Check-in, or 1:1 — so it lands in the right slice of the report.
Set the time range
At the top of the analytic is a date-range selector. Use it to focus the report on a specific period. The other filters on the main page of the analytic are organizational leader and template type (template name).
Usage stats at a glance
The top page of the analytic summarizes template usage for the selected time range, so you can read the headline story before drilling in. This includes:
The most-used templates
Coverage — templates used by meeting type – e.g. the percentage of 1:1s where a template was used
Breakdown of template use across meetings
“Explore by meeting” shows a table listing of the meetings and the templates used in each one.
Column | What it tells you |
Meeting date | When the meeting took place |
Meeting type | Team Meeting, Check-in, or 1:1 |
Meeting organizer | Who ran the meeting |
# of participants | How many people attended |
Template used | The agenda template applied to the meeting |
Employee in focus | For 1:1s and check-ins, the person the meeting is about |
Employee in focus – email | Email of the employee in focus |
Employee's manager | The manager of the employee in focus |
The Employee in focus, email, and manager columns populate only for 1:1s and check-ins, since those meeting types center on a specific person. For team meetings, these columns stay blank.
Filter and explore
Narrow the report to the slice you care about using the filters:
Leader – Organizational leader
Meeting type — Check-in, 1:1, or Team Meeting
Template type — a specific template (useful when your org has many but you only track a few key conversations)
Employee in focus — a specific person
Filtering is the fastest way to answer targeted questions — for example, "Show me every 1:1 that used the Career Conversation template this quarter."
Tips
Set the time range first — it frames every number on the page.
If usage looks low, check that meetings are typed correctly and that people are applying templates, not just running unstructured meetings.
