Submit and track a request

Use Intake to ask for new work, such as a project, a tool, extra budget or a change to an existing initiative.

Submit a request

  1. Select Intake in the left navigation, then Submit a request:

  2. On the Create a Request page, describe the problem or idea in your words in the text box (What do you need, and why does it matter?).

  3. Optionally select 📎 Attach a document to add a business case, a vendor quote or a slide deck.

  4. Select Review my request with the agent. The agent asks a few quick questions right on the page; every one is skippable.

Track your requests

Go to Intake → My Requests. Each card shows the request title, the date you submitted it and a plain-language status. For example:

Go to Preferences → Notifications and turn on the notifications you want to get.

Approvals & intake

  • Request declined: when a request is declined

  • Request deferred: when a request is deferred

  • Request converted: when a request is converted

Mentions & comments

  • Mention: when someone mentions you

  • Qa message: when someone asks a question on a request

Tips

  • Lead with the problem, not the solution - "Month-end close takes 9 days" gives reviewers more to work with than "buy tool X";

  • Include a cost estimate if you have one;

  • Attach what you already have - a business case or quote gives the agent and reviewers more to work with.
