The Portfolio Analyst, Bo, is SPM's AI assistant. Ask it questions about your portfolios in plain language, have it pull together the figures you need, or ask it to create a dashboard.
Open the analyst
Select Portfolio Analyst in the top bar. It opens the WorkBoard AI agent app in a new tab, so you can keep your SPM page open alongside the conversation.
The agent app has several AI agents. Make sure Bo (AI Portfolio Analyst) is selected in the agent switcher at the top left. The switcher also lists other WorkBoard agents, such as an AI Chief of Staff and a Leadership Coach.
The side menu has New chat, your Bookmarks and your Chats.
On a new chat, starter prompts such as:
Portfolio health
At-risk initiatives
Create a dashboard
Status update
Intake queue (under More)
To open the analyst when you sign in, choose Portfolio Agent as your landing page in Preferences (on a New chat, A bookmark or A dashboard).
What you can ask
Ask in plain language about the SPM data you work with. Some examples:
You want to... | Try asking |
Get a portfolio overview | "How is the Customer Experience portfolio doing? Show cost against budget and the initiatives at risk." |
Find initiatives | "Which initiatives are red or yellow, and why?" |
Understand money | "Which initiatives are over budget this year?" |
Check resources | "Where are we short of data engineers next quarter?" |
Review risks and decisions | "List the open high-severity risks across my portfolios." |
See what's waiting | "What's in the intake queue?" |
Bookmarks
Your bookmarks are listed under Bookmarks in the side menu, so you can come back to them.
Reports & Dashboards
Ask the analyst to build a dashboard, for example with the Create a dashboard starter. The Reports & Dashboards page in SPM's left navigation lists dashboards your portfolio agent created.
Open one to explore it and drill in, and select Refresh to update the list.
