SPM prices labor from two places in Configuration: Rate cards, which give the cost of each role, and Team members, your organization's roster of people with their skills and salary. This article explains both and how to find roles that aren't priced yet.
Rate cards
Go to Configuration → Rate cards
As the page explains, a rate card is the fully-loaded cost per role - optionally narrowed by proficiency and region - effective-dated. A resource draws the most specific matching card unless it carries its own rate override. Roles with no card fall back to a salary band averaged from Team Members.
Rate cards can be set per Space. A resource is priced from its own Space's rate card first, then its parent Spaces, then the organization's. Use the Space filter at the top of the page to see the cards for one Space, or All Spaces.
The summary shows how many Rate cards there are and how many Roles priced.
The table lists each card with the number of Resources that use it, its Role, Region, Proficiency, Type, Rate /yr, Effective dates and Status (Active or Inactive).
Select Add/Edit rate card to add or change cards, or Import rate cards to load them from a file.
Role coverage lists the roles used by assignments, demand, the roster or the bench, and shows which have no rate card. A role with no rate card is costed at zero on every plan that uses it.
Note: The roles, departments, regions and types you can pick come from Configuration → Organization defaults. Departments are set per Space: a Space's departments are available to its rate cards and to every Space below it.
Team members
Go to Configuration → Team members. This is your organization's people — skills and salary — used for staffing and budget. Salaries are stored for budget math and shown as #####.
The table lists each person's Member #, First name, Last name, Email, Title, Type, Region, Skills, Salary, Currency, FTE, Source and Last synced.
Select Add member to add one person, or Import / Sync to import from a file or link, or sync from Workday.
Employee types and financial categories
In Configuration → Organization defaults, each Employee Type maps to the financial category its cost rolls into, for example:
Where labor cost shows up
On an initiative's Resources tab, Supply / Bench shows each resource's Rate override, or From rate card when the rate card applies;
Utilization shows the Est. labor cost.
